Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AlyfByte Technologies ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, shares and protects your personal data when you use the IPO Jee mobile application and ipojee.com (the "Service"). We handle personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian laws. By using the Service you consent to the practices described here.

1. Data we collect

  • Account & identity data (only if you sign up): first name, last name, mobile number, and Permanent Account Number (PAN) along with the name you confirm as per your PAN.
  • Google sign-in data (if you choose it): your name and email address as shared by Google. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Self-recorded IPO activity: IPO applications/allotment entries you choose to save for your own history.
  • Technical & usage data: device type, OS version, app version, crash logs and basic analytics used to keep the app working.

Providing account and PAN details is optional — you can browse IPO information without an account. Account features simply require the relevant details.

2. Sensitive data — PAN

PAN is sensitive financial-identity information. We collect it only when you voluntarily provide it, use it solely to identify your profile and organise your own IPO application/allotment history, store it securely, and never sell it. We do not verify PAN against any government database and we do not use PAN to apply for IPOs or transact on your behalf. If you prefer not to share PAN, you can still use the informational features of the app.

3. How we use your data

  • To create and manage your account and authenticate you (including Google sign-in).
  • To let you record and view your own IPO application and allotment history.
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Service.
  • To send important service or compliance notices.
  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not use your data to give you investment advice or personalised recommendations.

4. Legal basis / consent

We process your personal data based on the consent you provide when you sign up and submit your details, and, where applicable, to perform the service you request or to meet legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights").

5. Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:

  • Service providers / data processors (e.g., hosting, cloud database, authentication, crash/analytics) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Authorities, when required by law, regulation, court order or to protect rights and safety.

6. Third-party data sources

IPO market data, logos and grey-market indications shown in the Service may come from third-party and public sources. Those sources have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.

7. Data storage & security

Your data is stored on secured servers/databases with access controls and encryption in transit. While we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. When no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

9. Your rights (DPDP Act)

  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction, completion or updating of inaccurate data.
  • Request erasure of your data and withdrawal of consent.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.
  • Grievance redressal (see contact below).

To exercise any right, email privacy@ipojee.com. You may delete your account at any time, which removes your profile data subject to legal retention needs.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app or on the website. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
